PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW (KVKK)
PRIVACY AND CLARIFICATION TEXT
In accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (hereinafter referred to as the “LPPD”), Pineapple Health Tourism Agency (hereinafter referred to as the “Agency”) acts as the Data Controller regarding the processing of your personal data.
As our patient and the “data subject,” we process your personal data within the framework of the procedures explained below and the limits mandated by legislation. Pursuant to Article 10 of the Law regarding the “Obligation to Inform,” we would like to inform you about our personal data processing procedures.
1. About the Data Controller
In accordance with the LPPD, as the Data Controller, the Agency may process, disclose, or transfer your personal data specified below for the purposes explained herein and for the duration required by the principles set forth in the legislation.
2. Processed Personal Data, Legal Grounds, and Purposes
Personal Data Subject to Processing:
- Identity Information: Name and surname, date of birth, country and city of birth, gender, marital status, nationality, ID card/Passport details, and copies of your ID/Driver’s License/Passport.
- Contact Information: Address, phone number, and e-mail address.
- Health Data: Blood type, body measurements (height, weight, etc.), laboratory and imaging results, test results, examination data, prescription information, and any health or sexual life data obtained during medical diagnosis, treatment, and nursing care services.
- Financial Data: Bank account number, IBAN, and other financial details.
- Visual and Auditory Data: Image and sound recordings obtained via closed-circuit camera systems (CCTV), call center voice recordings, and any photographs or videos taken within the scope of promotional activities (subject to your explicit consent).
- Other: Educational status, feedback/comments shared to evaluate our services, navigation data obtained during website use (IP address, cookies), and private health insurance or social security data.
- Patient Relative Information: Name-surname, ID/Passport number, contact, and address information.
Purposes of Processing: Your personal data is processed for purposes including but not limited to: performing medical diagnosis and treatment, managing appointment processes, invoicing for health services, sharing requested information with the Ministry of Health and other public institutions, and conducting analysis to improve our services and patient satisfaction.
3. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred to authorized public institutions, judicial authorities, insurance companies, and our business partners/suppliers in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the LPPD for the fulfillment of legal obligations and the execution of operational processes.
4. Methods of Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data is collected through verbal, written, or electronic means via contracts, forms, the website, social media channels, mobile applications, call centers, and face-to-face meetings.
5. Your Rights as a Data Subject (Article 11 of the LPPD)
Pursuant to Article 11 of the LPPD, you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed,
- Request information if your personal data has been processed,
- Learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is used accordingly,
- Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred at home or abroad,
- Request correction of incomplete or incorrect data,
- Request the deletion or destruction of your personal data under the conditions prescribed by law.
You may submit your requests by filling out the “Data Subject Application Form” available at pineapplehealthtourism.com and sending it to us in writing or via registered e-mail (KEP).
