The Data Controller, Pineapple Health Tourism Agency, may hereinafter be referred to as the “Institution”. We would like to explain to you how and for what purposes we process your personal data. Your personal data specified below are processed in accordance with the law and rules of honesty, by preserving their accuracy and the most up-to-date form as you have provided; for specific, explicit and lawful purposes; in a manner that is relevant, limited and proportionate to the purpose for which they are processed; and by being stored for the period required by the relevant legislation or necessary for the purpose for which they are processed.

Which Personal Data Do We Process?

The personal data you will share with us are listed below. The categories and contents are as follows:

Identity Data: Name, surname, Turkish ID number, date of birth, place of birth, gender, marital status, nationality.

Contact Data: Phone number, full address information, email address.

Special Category Personal Data: Association/foundation memberships stated in your CV, disability status, blood group, smoking habits, some health-related questions.

Education Data: Education status, diploma information, certificates, foreign language skills, other education information, personal skills, seminars attended, courses taken, computer and software proficiency, etc.

Work Experience Data: Work experiences, job experience, titles, employment status, etc.

Visual and Audio Data: Photograph, video, camera recordings belonging to a real person.

Other Personal Data Processed: Hobbies, salary information or expectations, skills, military service status, reference information, name surname of the reference person, title, workplace, phone number, and all kinds of files added to the CV such as pdf, powerpoint, word, excel, etc.

How and Why Do We Collect Your Personal Data?

Within the framework of the legal relationship aimed to be established between you and our Institution, your personal data that we request from you or that you personally provide during your application or choose to share in other texts are collected through verbal, physical or electronic means. In case you provide references, information may also be obtained from these persons based on the legitimate interest of the Institution or from representatives of your previous workplace.

We collect your CVs submitted via Institution employees’ emails or directly to our Institution in order to employ you, and if necessary, we transfer them to institutions/companies requesting employees from us. Although you prepare your own CV, you are also required to fill out the CV of our Institution in accordance with Law No. 6698.

We collect your visual data through cameras installed in the Institution for the purpose of ensuring the security of the Institution and your safety. Your personal data are collected and processed automatically through digital and electronic systems or via printed documents such as CVs.

For What Purposes Are Your Personal Data Processed?

Your personal data specified above are processed for the following purposes due to the necessity of establishing an employment contract between the Institution and the Employee Candidate:

  • Recruitment of new personnel, evaluation of candidates and determination of the candidate to be employed
  • Verification of your data and information through the references stated in your CV
  • Verification of your suitability for the position applied for and recording of CV information for future confirmation
  • Ensuring occupational health and safety
  • Controlling entry and exit to the Institution premises
  • Conducting reception processes and informing human resources and training departments

Your personal data will be stored for the maximum period specified in the relevant legislation or required for the purpose.

What is Special Category Personal Data?

Special category personal data include information such as race, ethnic origin, political opinion, philosophical belief, religion, sect or other beliefs, clothing, membership in associations, foundations or unions, health, sexual life, criminal convictions and security measures, as well as biometric and genetic data.

Information you share in your CV may include special category personal data. Under the scope of Law No. 6698, data regarding your race, ethnicity, political opinion, philosophical belief, religion, sect or other beliefs, clothing, association/foundation/union memberships, health, marital status, sexual life, criminal convictions, security measures, biometric and genetic data are considered special category personal data.

You have the right not to share your special category personal data unless requested. Personal data you voluntarily share will be used by different departments within the Institution for the evaluation of your application. If recommended, your information may be shared between departments for verification through references and for interviews conducted by department managers.

Your personal data are processed for the purposes stated above. Within the legal framework, your special category personal data may be shared with our lawyers to exercise our right of defense and with courts upon request.

Are Your Personal Data Shared with Third Parties?

The Institution, as the Data Controller, may request information from reference persons when necessary. The purpose is to verify the accuracy of the information in the CV and to determine the suitability and competence of the candidate.

If requested, your data may be transferred to law enforcement authorities, authorized public institutions and courts within our legal obligations. Camera recordings in the Institution are processed for safety and occupational health purposes. Your CV may be shared with companies for job placement if you give permission.

How Long Are Your Personal Data Stored?

Your personal data and special category personal data will be stored for the period required by the relevant legislation or for the purpose of processing and in any case within the legal limitation periods. Expired data will be securely destroyed. The destruction methods are defined in our KVKK Personal Data Security Management System. CVs of candidates who are not hired are destroyed after 6 months.

Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

According to Article 11 of Law No. 6698, you may request:

  • To learn whether your personal data are processed
  • To request information if processed
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether they are used in accordance with that purpose
  • To know the third parties to whom data are transferred
  • To request correction of incomplete or incorrect data
  • To request deletion or destruction of data
  • To request notification of these actions to third parties
  • To object to decisions made solely by automated systems
  • To request compensation for damages due to unlawful processing

If you are not hired, your personal data will be deleted after 6 months.

Requests regarding the exercise of these rights may be submitted by personal data owners, relevant individuals, through the methods specified in the legislation on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data under Law No. 6698 on the KVKK/GDPR page located at https://pineapplehealthtourism.com/. Our institution will evaluate these requests of the relevant individuals and finalize them within 30 days. As a relevant individual, you can submit your requests regarding Law No. 6698 through our KVKK page. With the explanations we have made above, we have informed you and fulfilled our Obligation to Inform. You can submit your requests for the deletion, updating, anonymization, destruction of your personal data, or other legal requests regarding your personal data, through the Data Subject Application Form. As a relevant individual, you will be answered as soon as possible or at the latest within thirty (30) days, or within the legal deadlines, in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Your personal data whose legal retention periods have expired will be securely destroyed in accordance with the relevant laws.
